- Engine Oil Pressure Sensor: Located at the outlet of the oil filter head.
Diagnostic Conditions:
This diagnostic test runs continuously while the engine is running.
Conditions for Setting a DTC:
A DTC is set when the ECM detects a high level of blockage in the oil filter.
Actions if Trouble Code is Active:
If the diagnostic test fails, the ECM will immediately turn on the amber CHECK ENGINE light.
Clearing the Error Code:
To clear the error code, perform a key cycle, start the engine, and let it idle for one minute. If the diagnostic test passes, the ECM will turn off the amber CHECK ENGINE light, and the DTC status will change to INACTIVE as displayed by the electronic service tool or equivalent.
