JCB JS140/205/215 P0115-16: Coolant Temperature Sensor Short Circuit to Ground

Possible Causes:

  1. Internal short circuit in the coolant temperature sensor wiring harness.
  2. Faulty coolant temperature sensor.

Diagnosis:

  1. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor and MECU. Use a multimeter to check connectivity between circuit numbers 4303B and 4069. Refer to the provided photograph for reference.
  2. Measure the resistance between the coolant temperature sensor terminals. The multimeter should not read zero resistance.

Corrective Actions:

  1. Replace the defective wiring harness if a short circuit is detected.
  2. Replace the coolant temperature sensor if faulty.
