This instruction show you guide on how to remove rocker arm shaft for Volvo FH trucks. Illustrations may differ slightly from the actual vehicle being serviced. However, key components addressed in this information are represented as accurately as possible.
Procedures:
1 Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal.
2 Lock the roof spoiler.
3 Place the gear selector in neutral.
4 Apply the parking brake.
5 Exit the cab.
6 Tilt the cab forward.
7 Remove the sound baffle.
8 Remove the cable harness.
9 Remove the screws.
10 Remove the pipe.
11 Remove the sealing ring.
12 Remove the screws.
13 Remove the valve cover.
14 Clean around the valve.
15 Remove the screws.
16 Remove the valve.
Note:Do not remove the cable ties.
17 Remove the spacer sleeve.
18 Remove the pipe.
14 Clean around the valve.
15 Remove the screws.
16 Remove the valve.
Note:Do not remove the cable ties.
17 Remove the spacer sleeve.
18 Remove the pipe.
21 Loosen the screws (1-13).
Note:Loosen the screws evenly in stages along the entire length of the the rocker arm shaft to prevent damage.
22 Remove the screws.
23 Adjust the lifting tool (A).
24 Install the lifting tool (A).
25 Secure the pistons.
Note:Use cable ties.
26 Remove the rocker arm shaft.
